Apple Displayport to HDMI
Apple Mini Display Port to HDMI Adapter
Now with audio!
Suitable for new model Apple Macbook & Macbook Pro's etc. (from April 2010 on). Note: previous models did not do audio out of mini display port, later models do, does up to 1080p and requires a HDMi cable from HDMI Female to the display.
Note: these work with older Apple units too but its just the Audio that doesn't. It will work out of the newer Thunderbolt port to a TV, and make sure you go to settings and select the audio to output
To Use: Activate display mirroring in
system preferences, make sure to also
hit the audio settings and select the TV source for output. Once done
the TV remote control raises and lowers volume. Can hook the Apple
MacBook Pro up to a receiver too, switch audio outputs in the DVD
players setting using what Apple listed as 'internal HDMI out' and get
Dolby Digital 5.1 audio that sounds as good as HDMI.
Warranty one year.

Mini Optical Adapter
You have your Apple Macbook or PC laptop all hooked up to video but you need audio from your computer, here is the solution, just add this adapter along with a standard Optical (Toslink) cable and away you go, problem solved. Converts Mini Optical Toslink plug to Optical standard size. Very well made and with gold plated tip for corrosion resistance.
Don't forget, you'll need an Optical cable to go with the Display Port to HDMI Converter if your Macbook Pro was pre April 2010 model (see above) or PC, so in this case the first choice is for an Optical cable, the second is for HDMI Cable.
Note: Remove end cap protectors before instal, plug only goes in one way.
And you'll need a HDMI cable to go with the HDMI adapters!
Please go here if you need cables longer than 5m HDMI Cables.
